Little Free Library
First Little Free Library in Halifax County
Halifax County recently received its first Little Free Library. Located next to the town hall in Halifax, the Little Free Library is stocked with books for both children and adults. Citizens may take a book and return it if they wish. The library was given in memory of Elizabeth Gregory Preston, a native of Halifax, by her family through the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Library Foundation.
Pictured above are left, Ruth Gregory Proctor, sister of Elizabeth Gregory Preston and Ginny Orvedahl, director of the Halifax County Library System. If anyone would like to have a Little Free Library placed in their community, please call 583-3631.
